share your feelings: " i love you so much" msg. for valentine's day!
Farewell. Hmm, interesting concept. Saying farewell. Sometimes people can be so funny about saying goodbye. We say goodbye to things all the time without realizing it. I mean, daily, we say goodbye to friends without wondering if we’ll ever see them again. I know this may sound morbid, but then again, it’s not like anyone really means truly anything when they say goodbye.
There are plenty of times when saying goodbye to something or someone is a good thing. Those people or things may have been a bad influence upon us. Like saying goodbye to an addiction. That’s always a good thing, isn’t it?
But then, when we have to say goodbye to something good or important to us, well, that’s never been fun. Saying goodbye to a close friend, a loved one, even a family pet can be an incredibly stressful and painful experience. So can saying goodbye to the freedom and naïveté of youth. Hell, saying goodbye to that can be a scary thought. Going out into the world. Making a living for yourself. At some point getting married and raising a family. These can be some of the scariest thoughts a person can have, especially when they’re young.
But saying goodbye to the ignorance of youth can also be the most beautiful experience of one’s life. This is the time when one may finally become who they’re meant to be. They are truly free to be who they want to be and do whatsoever they will. They may finally make the choices that they have been denied by society and their parents for the previous 18 or so years of their lives.
What I’m saying is, don’t live your life trying to be what society or your peers try and define you as. Don’t grow up and make the same mistakes as you made in your youth. Cliques are everywhere in the world, but you don’t have to be a part of one to define yourself. You should make you, don’t let yourself be made by the world. Don’t fall into any category. God made us all individuals, don’t let His grand designs go wasted and unused. He created you perfect as you are, every one of you. Please don’t forsake yourself.
All I’m asking is that you say goodbye to the trends, and fads, and cliques, and mistakes of your youth. Allow yourself to go out and be merry, yes. But be responsible with what you have been given. You only get one chance at this thing called life. Let the past go, and become who you truly are, who you want to be. What I guess my point in this speech is, is to say, don’t waste it. Use what you’ve been given. Don’t waste your life…
